They offer what's called dim sum. It's usually an assortment of appetizers that they bring to your table. You can pick what you want to eat from those carts that pass by your table. Each food you grab are marked on the ticket.
It depends on the type of dumpling but they all fall into one of three price categories from $2.50/dumpling to $5.00/dumpling. Most of the common stuff (the best stuff) is in the $2-$3 category. I usually spend around $12 each time i go and get a good amount of food.
Yes, they're open for dining in.
From open till 3 pm
Yes everyday
Yes
Everyday . during the week it's from 11am to 3
I believe it's everyday since I went on a Monday once and they served dim sum up to 3pm. I still prefer the weekend though since the food carts always serve dim sum fresh and hot.
Everyday starts at 10am to 2pm
Starts at 10am and goes until 2pm 7 days a week.
Best dim sum in Phoenix. Needs to be a little better stocked on some items, but really good.
We found this place when we discovered our favorite restaurant with Dim Sum had closed and we're looking for alternatives - this place far exceed expectations. It is the best Dim Sum that my girl and I have had. The Shu Mai was easily the best I've had as well as the coconut buns (we ordered extra for home). It was packed but getting a table for 2 was quick and the carts come around consistently. Don't be thrown off by the outside as it is plain; the inside is very well kept and the service is great. I was halfway through my meal before I realized I should take a pic and review it, so it's probably not the best representation. But this is the best Dim Sum that I've had in Phoenix.
I drive here from Tucson for the great food! The prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. Every time I eat here is somehow tastier than the last time.
The chow fun have so much oil that I can swim in it
The restaurant had part of the place closed off for s special dining party. Do call ahead as we have been turned away because the entire place was closed for a celebration. Their meals are a bit on the pricey side for Chinese food. It is good though. We shared Black bean chicken and it didn’t disappoint. Service is quick. The walls were dirty. The place could use a new paint job on the inside. Parking lot available. Staff are a bit more friendly.
Very good dim sum, best in the valley. Place is always packed on weekends so get in early.
This is the best dim sum I have found recently and there is always a line on the weekend. Very good authentic Chinese dim sum and it attracts the Asian crowd. We had duck, several assorted dumplings, Singapore noodles, chicken feet, sticky rice, and several other dim sum dishes. Everything was very good. I have eaten dim sum here since Golden Buddha closed and it has always been good.
I wouldn’t say it was the best experience we’ve had at The Great Wall simply because they weren’t serving dim sum when we were there and that was the whole reason we had gone there. However, the server we had was excellent! The food was authentic (fried rice, eggplant, and Kung Pao Chicken). But, I feel like it was all lacking enough seasoning and kind of bland. Overall, the experience wasn’t the best. If you’re going to go, make sure it’s when they’re serving dim sum!
I loved everything about this place. Service is excellent, food I could taste all the complex seasonings. An so many choices for such good prices. From Dim Sum to a variety of styles of Chinese cuisine. I will eat there again an quite often! Can not wait.
Food is fantastic. Service is fast. Crowded and lively. Lots of Dim Sum variety
Awesome authentic food great place to eat
Ninety Nine Restaurants are well known in the New PHOENIX area. Reasonably priced good food and drink. Lots of bar and dining room seating, with plenty of flat screen TV's to give yo something to do after ordering. The menu favorite that keeps me coming back is the seafood chowder. Really tasty, nice and hot, perfect for a winter night. Always glad that I decided to go and happy that I went. Sarah was my server tonight. Very attentive and helpful, but not pushy. Always nice when a restaurant succeeds because of its staff and not in spite of it. This location is about the same driving distance to the Manchester, NH, location, but I prefer eating here. The atmosphere seems a little more calm and under control.
Awesome high level quality dim sum cart restaurant
The food is delicious! One of the more authentic Chinese cuisine here in Phoenix. They have really good Dim Sum.
Great Wall Cuisine is one of the best Dim Sum places in Arizona. Food selection is from carts often pushed by people that speak only Cantonese, so it helps to know a little about dim sum before you go. The facility handles large parties really well. The service today was fantastic. One of the roving managers came by our table, asked about the food, and went directly into the kitchen and brought out a few of our favorites. Fun, hot, fresh!Secret hint: ask for the spicy chili paste. It's not really hot, but provides great flavor.
Great food, great prices. Best dim sum in AZ. I really need to get out here more often but I highly recommend trying this spot out. LOVE the sea food pan friend noodles. You gotta order those from the kitchen but worth the wait to go with everything else.
I was disappointed on there house chop suey. I give it a 0. They change cooks all of time and the flavor changes. Majority are horrible and a couple are good. Thumbs down.
This was my 2nd time visiting the Great Wall and my initial visit did not do it justice. I needed a 2nd opinion and for those of you who have never experienced authentic Dim Sum, it may require a repeat visit. Let me suggest the dumplings if you're a first timer. I guarantee you cannot go wrong. From there try dishes based on dietary preferences but the key term here is TRY. This is not Panda Express or PF Changs and they don't serve Orange Chicken. This is the closest thing to authentic Chinese you can find West of Grand Avenue.
Found a piece of glass in my food... Besides that, the food is awesome!
The dim sum is good at this place.
Loved the friendly customer service and good food. Ordered the noodles chow fun and 4 Tim Sum dishes. Tasted great and the staff were very friendly. The Jasmine tea was hot and tasted fresh. The noodles was a big serving for two people. I highly recommend this place.
They definitely treated me bad, barley looked at me and talked down to me. The lady would not even hand me my receipt, she just tossed it across the counter and walked away. I would say they definitely don't like Black People.
Absolutely amazing, dim sum! Nice lighting, and great decorum. Definitely worth a try, if you are looking for Dim Sum.
Great food and dimsum options. Happy that despite the pandemic, it's still possible to do take out for our favorite dishes. Though the menu is streamlined, we were able to order and take dinner home.
Waited 20 min at the table and wasn’t given a menu or drinks and watched as they served tables that sat down after us lol we ask for our menus finally and then they wouldn’t come and take our order? We finally order and food is brought out and they were missing 2 of the orders we ate was brought out and were ready to leave we asked for the other orders and was told would be 30+ min so we asked to cancel it and were leaving and magically it appears a minute later? This place is a joke
Food was good, many carts loaded with our favorites. Staff is very attentive and quickly got us whatever we requested. Staff is friendly and makes our dinning experience a good one.
Dim Sum is awesome but they didn't have bao available. Also wait time was about 10 minutes but it fills up fast!
I had a massive craving for some dim sum food especially pan fried dumplings. I got them takeout and prices just right. In Phoenix this is the best!
Very very good food, fresh and the friendliness of the service was awesome! Very authentic Chinese food, and large portions where you’re able to share. We had 7 people eating and we all shared 3 plates, and a large bowl of rice and it fed us all! Definitely going back to this place!
Highly recommend their chow mien, pan fried dumplings, vegetable tofu, steamed fried rice.Serving size is a healthy amount and price is just right. Excellent in service since the staff was quick in carrying out our takeout orders 5 stars all the way!
Ordered dim sum and entrees last week. It definitely satisfied my craving. Ordering over the phone was easy. They also called to let me know that the order was ready for pick up, which was much appreciated.
waiters were very kind told us take our time felt good for our 1st visit (: food came out hot, fresh & fast ♡
This is probably the best Cantonese food I’ve had in Phoenix. I’ve been here plenty of times for the dim sum and it is great. If you want to try different varieties of food and appetizers, then this is your spot. Tonight, I came for the dinner menu. So glad they are opened til 11 P.M. I got the Pecking Pork Chops (BOMB!) and it came with rice. They where crunchy but juicy and meaty, a very big portion by the way. My girlfriend had the Walnut Shrimp (BOMB!) and we also ordered the 6 meat dumplings. Can’t wait to go back back and try the rest of the stuff. I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for good Cantonese food. Thank you staff!
I wish they had their coconut bread available all day long but they only have it during dim sum. Their dim sum is so good! Their menu/dinner options are also extremely delicious. They serve everything family style. It's a great place for couples and large groups.
Haven't eaten at China town for ages, but was like, really? It has become so expensive? Every dish seems to be 20-30% more than elsewhere in San Francisco. The food and service were pretty good, but also nothing special. Was going for Z & Y next door but they were too busy, I guess they get that a lot.
It is my first visit to Phoenix. After a few days struggling with the food near my AirBnb stay. I finally decide to have a dim sum for a lunch. The food is great! It was a regret that I didn't come during weekend as the waitress told me that there will be more categories provided during weekend. It is not the best dim sum I have tried but I nust say that it meets all my requirements and the price is amazing. I ate a lot until I cannot have any more. It costs me only 22 bucks. The waitress is so friendly. I will come back if I have another visit to Phoenix.
Did not eat here yet. Looks like a classy place. We will go back to try it the menu looks interesting and inviting. Not to sure about the entrees coming only with white steamed rice. Might have to order more than 1 dish and share in order to get some kind of meat and some kind of vegetables we were told everything comes with rice only. It doesn't look too expensive we will definitely try it and let you know.
Best Dim sum I have ever tasted, Their pork belly is very crisp and they have a plum sauce that goes with it. The best time to go is early sunday morning if you have a large party the wait is a little bit longer but for 2 or 3 people it's pretty fast. Very good variety of dim sum you can also order from the menu.
My favorite pecking duck I’ve found. Cooked with a great skin and sauce. Then they have a wall where they keep live fish and lobster. You can really tell your seafood is fresh. They use a large lazy Susan/spinning table in the middle of the table that helps pass around the dishes so everyone gets a bite. Great for groups!
We stumbled upon Great Wall Cuisine as we were searching online for a place to eat on Christmas Day. To our surprise, there was a very long line outside when we got there at 11:30am despite the cold weather. Long story short, we got a table after 1 1/2 hours of waiting. The queuing system was confusing before and even after our meal (as we paid our bill). Also, when I called the day before to see if we can make reservations, the person who answered hang up on me; apparently, not a lot of the staff spoke English well. At any rate, the food is excellent! This has been the best dimsum place I’ve had in the Phoenix area. I wish they would expand or better yet, open one in the West Valley.
Great Wall has always had some of the best dishes in town. Their dim sum is to die for. Highly recommend.
The food is excellent but the wait time is unreasonable. My cousin and I order 2 dishes and one to go, we got one order after 30 minutes wait. Then we waited for over one hour just to find out they are out of our second order. There was this other family who arrived after us and got all of their orders before us and they keep coming to check on them. I let the cashier know that they should warn us about the wait time and he seemed not to care which encourage me to write here.
Nice Chinese foods , and most of the waiters can speak Cantonese
Can you even dim sum another else in Phoenix? This place is great. Food is amazing and staff are great even if they're seem a little angry. They have to get those food carts out with BBQ buns and ribs or to us crazies!
I can't even explain how amazing this restaurant is! The carts that come around are all packed with delicious looking food. The staff is really patient, and they explain what's in everything. We loved everything that we tried! It was a little strange to eat around the bones on some meat dishes, but it tasted amazing! I only wish we had gone in at 11 when all of the noodles started coming out!
